Travel, becoming a mother, living abroad, tough times, celebrations; through it all I have always documented everything with my camera.

Bloom Photography has been born out of my passion for capturing moments in life with my camera. The ability to preserve a moment in time forever to me has always seemed magical. I truly enjoy meeting you and your child or children and getting to know you and I particulary value those natural unposed moments in our session when you are unaware of being photographed. It is chiefly for this reason that I believe my best work always happens outside…Children are naturally at home outdoors. Not inside in a studio set up…Although I do offer that too, albeit a very laid back one !

I really enjoy working in black and white – which is clear from my galleries – I believe in some instances colour can be a distraction …and I like my pictures to look right into your child's soul for a moment …I try to take a picture of the child that you, his or her parent know….. And I also want to portray you at your natural best !

I do a large amount of work in colour too of course…I enjoy the freedom of working in colour..And there are times when black and white just doesn’t work…However much I love it !

The Pumpkin photos in my gallery are a testament to that ..as are the beach shots…..

Most importantly, I believe that it depends on the "look" and "feel" of yours and your child's mood on the day and also of course, of what you want and prefer! And with todays incredible photo imaging software…we can work out how everything looks best after the shots themselves are taken..So let me worry about that !
